February 28, 2006 - How's the wedding planning coming?

Short answer - just fine.

So the problem with having an engagement that lasts more than let's say 2 days - is that you have all of that time to plan every detail, replan and tell every person who knows your engaged.
Let's be honest - I have zero problems talking about the upcoming nuptials. It just always becomes a game of a) you are just asking to be nice but really don't want more than the short answer b) you sincerely are interested but only want the 5 minute run down or c) this is the third possibly fourth time I have told you about the reception hall, the wedding party or the honeymoon. Note: If you wanted option a and you didn't get it - sorry :) As all brides know - this becomes a very crazy time where it becomes very easy to become all consumed in our very special day. Option b and c people - I promise August 12th is coming soon.

Those still reading should be happy to know that most of the "big stuff" is falling into place - flowers, dj, tuxes, bridesmaid dresses. We are now moving into the more detailed time of invitiations, guest list, ceremony music, and the rehearsal dinner. Sorry to disappoint but I won't be publishing pictures of my dress or anything like that anytime soon. Hope this is enough for now!

Feburary 27, 2006 - Welcome to my 108 North blog!

After much contemplation - I thought it was finally time to start documenting these next crazy few months. Steve and I thought 2006 would be a great year to cram in as much as possible.....

So here's what's coming up for us -

April 1st - the Townhouse in Aurora goes up for sale (which means all the painting and staging needs to get done ASAP).

May 1st - start moving into 108 North (hence the blog name).

June 23 - July 11th - Steve is in Germany for the World Cup

August 12 - The BIG day - our wedding.

So now that you are clued into what lies ahead....here's what has been going on of late.

Steve spent Saturday working on finishing the quarterround. I made the voyage with my parents to beautiful Champaign. We went to see my sister (Jill) and her husband (Tony). Jill coaches a 7th grade girls volleyball game and their home tournament was on Saturday. After many nail biting moments - the Lady Jaguars won 1st place. The excitement did not end there - we all went out to watch the Illini Basketball team battle against Iowa for their last home game. It was a tough game - but the Illini claimed a victory.
